Sleepover

Addio is having her first sleepover tonight.
They are sleeping in a fort in her room. I put them to bed 20 minutes ago and I can still hear giggles and talking coming from her room.
Should be a fun night for them!

Totally TUBULAR

Yesterday Miss Molly had ear tubes put in.
The surgery took a whole 6 minutes. She did really well. The doctors and nurses were wonderful with her.
Our little Molly is so tough. She has endeared quite a bit in her short 16 months. She seems to be feeling better and is now sleeping. That is all we want for our little girl-to be happy and healthy. Having been on the pediatric surgery floor twice with Molly has made me truly realize how incredibly blessed we are. My heart and prayers go out to the moms and dads that have to sit and wait for several hours many different times.

For now, we just hope that the tubes help relieve her ear pain, helps her hear better and prevents future ear infections.

Mrs. Snowman

Addison and I took advantage of the "warmer" weather to play outside and make a snowman. The snow wasn't great snowman snow so we took big chunks from the neighbor's boulevard to make our Mrs. Snowman. Addison's teachers gave her a snowman making kit so we used that for the eyes, mouth, nose and scarf.
Here is the proud snowlady maker!

Today

Addison and I went to Quarry Hill to do some snow shoeing this afternoon. I have my own pair and we were going to rent her a pair. There is not enough snow (can you believe it?) to snow shoe so we rented her a pair of cross country skies. She did awesome! She was so proud. She may have a few bruises on her bottom, but she enjoyed herself. I regretfully did not bring my camera but I have some new great memories of my Addio!

Scooter Girl

Last Christmas Addison got a bike and she rode it around the house last winter.
This Christmas she got a Barbie scooter that she rides around the house.
She often pretends that she has a scooter coach that helps her be a good scooter girl. :)

Yes, I Know

She still has a bottle but she is so darn cute in this picture.
We will work on the bottle soon.

Her Little Corner Of The World

Addison is always coloring, painting or creating something. She can't do her art with Molly around so Neil set up a little art studio for her in our office closet. She loves to go in (and shut the door) and get her creative juices flowing. She also needed a place to store the 5,000 beads that Cindy gave her for Christmas (thanks Cindy)!

A Sign Of Things To Come

Addison and her friend Ayla have been talking on the phone the past couple nights. They spend most of the day together at daycare and then call each other at night. When I asked her what they talk about she told me -BOYS!!! Um what?! You are 5! The two girls have planned a sleepover for next weekend. I don't think I am ready for this! :)

England 2011

We had another great trip to England!
We left of December 20th and arrived on the 21st. The plane ride was great-Molly and Addison did awesome! The craziness began when we got off the plane and Addison threw up in my hand. After walking the airport looking for a bathroom to get rid of the vomit, I joined Neil and Molly in the security line. Molly then started throwing up, about 4 times! The people in line were so helpful and nice. We also got through customs pretty quickly!
We spent our days hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa England's house.
Addison helped Coco decorate her flat with a tiny pink Christmas tree (so Nicola), we ate chippy (twice), went out for an Indian meal, had a delicious Christmas dinner (thanks to Grandpa England), enjoyed Christmas with family, had a couple trips to Tesco, had two personal training sessions, went ice skating, visited Grandma and Grandad Hill's house, Nicola and I had an Indian head massage, and a trip to England would not be complete without a trip to the doctor! Molly had an ear infection while we there. But all in all, it was a great trip. It was nice to spend time with family and just enjoy each other.
Coming home was a great adventure. Our flight out of Manchester was delayed 8 hours. The back door of the plane would not close (pretty sure that is important). So we spent our time in the lounge (thanks to Diane and Alan). We got to Philadelphia around 8:00 at night which meant we missed our connecting flight to MSP. We spent our New Years Eve in a hotel fast asleep until Molly wanted to explore the hotel at 4:30 a.m. We finally got back to our house at 3:00 p.m. on New Years Day. We are still getting back into our routine. Addison and Molly have been going to bed at their normal time but have been waking up around 4:30-5:00ish.
I am hoping this upcoming week brings normalcy, good sleep, and healthy children!

I did not bring out my camera much over our trip. Poor Molly has no pictures from her first plane ride. Here are some of the few pictures I did take on our trip.
Thanks for a nice Christmas Diane, Alan and Coco!
